Our red roofed sugar house, just steps away from the water's edge, is where we make everything from maple syrup to mouth-watering maple fudge. It's also a Vermont country gift shop. Make the Green Mountain Sugar House a planned stop whenever you're in the area... you'll be glad you did!

July 2010

Summer time and the living's easy!

What a great fourth of July weekend and if you missed it, you missed a spectacular weekend of farmer's markets, chicken barbecues, and our delicious maple cremees on the lake. According to the 2010 Farmers Almanac there's plenty of good weather headed our way for the rest of the summer so come on up to the lakes region and cool off. Also don't forget about some of the great river swimming opportunities around too. It seems like every summer I update this page to try to coax our readers to come to the sugarhouse and this July I'm not going to do it. Come on up to beautiful Ludlow enjoy your family and the quietness. There's so many things to do and see here that chances are you'll drive by our red-roofed sugarhouse on serene Lake Pauline and stop. We hope you do. The ladies in the store are so helpful from what flavor of Syrup to try in the store to where to eat downtown. And if you want to gripe and moan about taxes and why the Redsox can't beat Tampa Bay to save their lives look for Doug Rose. Finally, check out our flowered float on the lake. Co-owner Ann Rose finds time in her hectic schedule to landscape the place with some nice floral designs. If part of your business is to maintain the flowers, then you know you did something right. Come find why!

Our store is open daily from 9 to 6 and all of our vermont goodies are ready for sampling and our Pure Vermont Maple Syrup has your name all over it. Since this 'Organic Revultion' has kicked off in full force lately we'd thought we'd let you know that our Syrup is 100% organic and the sugars you will find in our syrup are the most natural of any food product. What a healthy form of sugar during these times of high fructose this and that! YUM!!

Keep it real,
